Coming in on 466A this past Friday I was so surprised by the amount of homes that went up south of 466A since my last visit this past October. What were piles of dirt in October now are homes with people living in them. Drove down Pinellas Place, wow lots of homes there now and so many more to come. Eight months ago Mission Hills at 466 and Morse was just half constructed homes and piles of dirt. Now people are living there also.

Drove down Buena Vista today south of 466A to 44A. Got as far as where Brownwood is. The entrance signs on Buena Vista for some of the new villages are already up -- Gilcrest and Collier come to mind, and I think there were a couple of other village names I can't remember. Can't wait to see what this area looks like when I return to TV in mid-October. Keeping my fingers crossed that Brownwood will be open by mid-October.

TV is truly a well oiled machine as far as construction goes.

When we first started coming down it was 5 years ago. So fun to see the difference in the years. Our Realtor would show us what was to come and then the next year we would be standing in the middle of a done village and it would be as though it had been there for years. They do a good job though.

I bought probably one of the first lots in Gilchrist this past May, and have never actually seen my lot. I have one picture from my agent, and I imagine that by the time I come in September most of Fernandina might be built or building, and my street will be full of trucks and builders. How exciting! Cannot wait to get back and see all the progress. I was astounded to find out they can build a whole house in 8-12 weeks! I do worry about their jobs though when TV is complete:pray:

The Villages definitely has their system down pat. When we had our last home built in Wesley Chapel, FL, it took about 10 months. We signed on the dotted line here in The Villages on August 17th and closed Novemeber 14th. All of our friends said our home would never be done but low and behold ... it was. I hear they have never missed a closing date yet. Their crews are timed perfectly. It's a science and they got it right. This home was build a 100 times better than our last.
