A very interesting Gallup poll was released today that show most Americans - including Republicans - still blame George W. Bush for the poor state of the economy. This number is still about the same as back in September.

Based on this poll, how could these same people consider voting for Mitt Romney, who has been called "Bush on steroids"? He advocates the same tired policies that caused the recession, more tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires and fewer regulations. Romney surrounds himself with Bush advisors, be it for economic or military policies.

That is indicative of the CBS poll that showed Junior Bush had a 22% approval rating when he left office.

Amazing how the Republicans believe they have a good chance of winning back the White House when so many Republicans still blame Junior for the country's problems.

How can they have hope when so many different groups will not vote Republican? Blacks, Hispanics, Democrats, most Independents, many Republicans, most women, most young people, gays, lesbians, and you do not have many Republicans left to vote for Mr. Romney and yet-to-be-named VP candidate.

That VP candidate will be a very important choice to make.

y'all certainly don't expect to hoist a victory flag based on mainstream media polls? Do you?
The only time poll information is of any value, if any at al, is when the content of the poll is revealed as well as the message. Like how many participants? Ror D? Black? Hispanic? Etc.

Most often this content is never supplied as it is never as supportive as the big type set headliner that waves the flag of the day, would require.

I read a article I think it was an interview of Jesse Ventura and he was saying we should not have specific parties. Yes Bush didnt do a very good job but obama is not doing to much either. Dont care what party the guy belongs to just if you look at their record and obvious intend specks much louder. Romney has a better business sense than obama. Not sure about foreign policy but we'll see about that. November is on it's way. For better or worse only different thing is we can't get out of this we have to live with how ever it goes

anyone who really knows about the economy admits that the housing bubble was caused by the Fair Housing laws instituted during clinton's terms, forcing banks to give loans to unqualified applicants...the problem was worsened when bush tried to regulate fannie and freddie and was told by barney frank and dodd that it was not necessary...i remember this argument on tv! this was the root of the world wide economic disaster which occured when bad loans were bundled and sold all over the globe! blaming bush is way too easy, and inaccurate, and i think more americans know this than you democrats want to think about....

although i also think that allowing banks and other financial institutions to become 'too big to fail' also contributed to the economic collapse the country has suffered.

I keep asking myself why is it that the liberal left continues to hang on with this obsession of Bush? Is he a tool of distraction for a failing liberal president? Are they feeling ashamed for their hateful treatment of him while he continues to act in a civil and respectful mannner toward his critics. Do they feel guilty that their leader continues to demonstrate his weaknesses by blaming Bush and others for his failings while Bush repeatedly has expressed his support for Obama's success because he (bush) recognizes it is in the best interests of this Country and because as he says its tough being the president? Say what you will or will what you say but while Bush had made some errors he has shown class while in office and out by taking responsibility and accountability of what went wrong in his Administration. He didn't blame Barney Frank and the boys or a Democratic Congress or ATM machines.....

George W. Bush will always have my respect and appreciation because he held office at one of the worse times in american history and he did what needed to be done to preserve and protect this country. He has shown he is a man of integrity and a person who loves his country. History will prove Bush's critics wrong

except this... Obama is running in the democratic party... think about it? Is he like the clintons, kennedys, reid, pelosi, etc etc... do any of you really think the real democrats are in obama's corner? not a chance. read comments...

Obama is losing support all across the board and from every demographic, including the jewish vote and the black vote. He's losing women and he losing independents. He cannot afford to lose any of these voters as everyone knows the majority of the country consider themselves to be conservative.

btk: Its too much to hope for some type of realism from liberals. They are eurphorians and if it feels good it must be right the heck with consequences. The most obvious example was the "good feeling" gotten from providing loans to people who never had or will ever have the capacity to meet their obligation..but then in the liberal view everyone is entitled to a home.

There was not one policy of George W Bush that I could agree with; ie war in Iraq, Bush tax cuts, unpaid for Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage, but he is not a bad person, and I agree that he has shown class, especially since leaving office. When he returned to the White House last week, he was quite comical and engaging. I would much rather have a beer with Bush than Mitt Romney, but that will never happen since Bush quit drinking and Romney is not allowed to drink because of his religion.

Personally, I do not see messes they have made. Also, the majority of American voters do not see messes they have made.

The messes are from a sniveling tea party led bunch of Republicans who are afraid to do anything to upset their tea party free lunch of PAC money.
