OK, I haven't been grumpy for a few days, so here goes. Why in the world, in a community with supposedly 90,000 golf carts, about half of which are gas, is there no gas in the Villages? We're in Sunset Pointe with the very closest station almost 3 miles away and kind of hard to get to up on 466.

Is this place so worried about looking perfect that it would destroy it to put a gas station somewhere in Lake Sumter. The ONLY station I can find in the south is clear over at Colony Square. I truly don't understand this. Our rental agreement says to fill the cart before we leave "at any station we want". The drive to the nearest one would represent our longest drive in the cart.

Sorry, I would never want to see a gas station around any of the squares.

I keep a 5 gallon jug in the garage for emergencies.

I recently saw something about a product called Extra Fuel (http://extrafuel.net/). It sounds like a better way to store emergency "gasoline."

I wasn't happy when they built a grocery store adjacent to the square. With that being said, I'm glad they did because we use Sweetbay all the time. Now wish a gas station had been added in the parking lot because I agree...we need one more accessible and the Sweetbay parking lot would have been an ideal central location.

It would be nice to have a gas station near LSL, but really, filling up at Colony is not a big deal (we're about 1.5 miles away). Since the cart is so good on gas, we only fill up twice a month.

I've read/heard that once the 466-A commerce is developed, it will have a lot of stores etc. like 466 has. I hope a gas station goes in near 466-A and Buena Vista. There are supposed to be some "big box" stores right there, in the northwest corner.
