We are about to close on a new Iris on Mayflower Loop and I think I saw some mention on a recent post about exterior door decorations being prohibited. Can somebody please tell me that my wife will be able to hang her seasonal wreaths, etc from our new door to paradise?

I think you can hang anything under the eaves of your home, or the overhang or whatever you want to call it. I am PRETTY sure of this, in both areas, north and south of 466.

Welcome to you and your wreaths and your wife. May you all enjoy this beautiful place.

Wat about flags? I have flag for every season and holiday. Will I be able to put a flag bracket , say , near the garage, and fly my flags??

I saw TWO BIG flag poles in someone's front yard the other day, no flags.

I wonder if that is allowed?

There will be wreaths on our door when we get to Mayflower Loop! Love them!
Congrats on the move!

We have a flag pole (with an American flag) in our front yard. We went to the folks who o.k. these things and got the official o.k.!! As far as decorative flags in the yard---not sure on that. We had one when we first came and were told by the neighbors that they were prohibited so I yanked it. You probably can get away with thing hanging in your back yard though!!

I have a neighbor who loves putting out a new and different flag virtually every week. She mounts them on a bracket next to her garage door, and we all watch out for the one which says, essentially, "It's party time; come on in!"

We're currently in Severna Park, MD and have just closed on an Iris on Mayflower Loop. We'll be hopping in and out for a while before becoming frogs living on a lilly pad of happiness in that pond of paradise known as TV.
