Its amazing that the Republican congress can presume
to hold the attorney general in contempt when it is
actually the house that is contemptable. Have you
heard of any attempt to pass a jobs bill that has
been sitting there? The tea bags that occupy those
seats have done nothing for two years except
warm the chairs. Do nothing but blame the president
and sit back. Its no wonder the public doesnot
give them any approval rating at all.

Couldn't have said it better myself. It makes you wonder who the 9% are who approve of congress. Must be the congressmen themselves, their staffs and their families.

Use tax dollars to put people to work is a hand out.If you raise taxes use the money to payoff debt.Jobs need to come from private sector.

I find it amazing that the approval rating of Congress is as high as 9%. Well, I also find it amazing that Junior Bush had a rating as high as 22% when he left office.

Both should have been right at 0%.

Good posting, hilltophome, keep it up!

Under Holder criminals like illegal aliens and black separatists from organizatons like the New black panther party are NO longer criminals. The criminals are now the people like
Eric Holder who enforces what's left of the law they are undermining.
Why would Holder Justice Dept sell guns to Mexican drug cartels then intentionally NOT track where the guns ended up? It was part of a program designed to enable Obama to crack down on gun sales in the U.S. KISS - Keep it simple stupid!!

There are, at present, almost THIRTY BILLS that in one way or another promote jobs that Harry Reid will not allow to be discussed or voted on. These are bill from the House.

In addition, if you do any reading at all, you just recently read how Reid stopped any legislation to stop the scam being run on our IRS by illegal immigrants...we are talking BILLIONS.

My post is not a defense of the congress..not a defense of the Republicans or anything...simply a reminder that it is both sides and not just one and those who are so simple minded and narrow minded as to attack one side over the other on the stalemate in congress, IN MY OPINION, do not care one iota about the country and only try to please their party and that is worse than sad on so many levels.

Congress BOTH SIDES are the real welfare recipients and prostitutes in our society. Did anyone watch the Senate interview Jamie Dimon. He made them look like fools,no wonder he gives most of them money to control their vote.We have the best congress money can buy. Until campaign finance and term limits nothing will get done. And about jobs bills....how about a jobs bill that only about job creation,no amendments added. O wait they can't do that, not enough candy for their district and not enough payoffs from special interests.

also keep in mind the Congress is made up of the House and the Senate. When the dis-approval ratings are discussed and presented as Congress'
rating they are referring to both.

For both the Senate and the House the depth of cronyism and business as usual is the very deepest. They do what ever they do regardless who sits in the WH.

Other than the political party they represent (not really) there is no distinction what so ever between the lechers and liars and pork masters.......NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Save the smoke for when you really need it.

This is the truth and the whole truth and until "we the people" can reach across the aisle instead of waiting for congress, yes congress not just the house, to do the business of OUR country we are doomed.
It is post like:

Reading the OP you can see the mindset very clearly. Do you really think you can reason with this outlook?

This is a post you just have to walk away from.

Obama made him do it.

Either that or the dog ate the bills.

In the case of the ethics and action of our US Senate you might be correct in your first example FOR SURE !
