Is there a recreation schedule available that is done on a daily basis? In other words, I'd like to see all of the recreation activities that are available on Monday or Tuesday etc.
Many days' I have nothing to do and I have to try to look through each of the rec center's activities for that day.

Do you mean like real time, updated hour by hour on the Internet?
What is wrong with the schedule that comes out on Thursdays?

I'm just a wannabee, but I try to buy the Daily Sun when I'm in TV; it seems like somewhere in the Daily Sun that day's list of recreation activities is published, and the activities are listed by Rec Center. Hope that helps.

I think I've seen a list like that online but don't remember exactly where. Maybe start at the main TV website.

I think there might be one in the TV monthly magazine? Or perhaps I am thinking of activities and entertainment schedules...

The day's activities at each center appear each morning in the Daily Sun almost always on page D5.

I'm not sure that solves the doctor's question, though. I think he wants a list of different activites and where they're happening today!

Haven't seen one like that.

The only comprehensive one I know about is what's distributed by the Recreation Department in newspaper format every Thursday. It's available online as well:

http://www.thevillagesdailysun.com/app/files/recnews.pdf

But like Dr. Boogie stated, you've pretty much gotta go through it rec center by rec center to get a feel for when all the activities occur.

If you're looking for when various clubs and groups meet, there's this:

It seems to be kept up-to-date on a fairly consistent basis. Latest update shows as 05/29.

Hi Dr. Boogie,
It's a good question. The Recreation News, available both in print and online, is complete but not as efficiently presented as it could be. All of the information is repeated so it can be sorted two ways: by Rec. Center (then time) or by activity.

Were the online version presented in a spreadsheet or database, the user could sort it by any column (i.e., rec. center, day, time, activity). That would be cool, and probably a more efficient way for staff to maintain the data after initial setup.

TV operations are so many wonderful things but just not very tech savvy.

No, I mean a schedule where I can see what's going on on Wednesday instead of having to go through every rec center and club in the rec newspaper to see what's going on on Wednesday.

Sometimes I may have nothing to do on Friday, so I'd like to look and see what is going on on Friday to see if there might be something that I might be interested in.

I am pretty sure that is in the Sun...At least the highlights in the corner of LifeStyles page...and isn't there something with each rec center in each day?

There is a Recreation Schedule for the day in section D of the Daily Sun. It has the activities other than the club meetings.

The Daily Sun is a great way to organize your day if you're looking for a choice of activities.

My biggest challenge is to get up early enough to plan the day early before half the activities are over. I am used to planning the night before and knowing what is coming up for me the next day. It would be really nice to have the events for the next day listed in the DS, particularly for the upcoming week ends, when there are usually less scheduled classes.

So my hubby just asked if there is a list of Activities by center. Ex: Bocce: Hacienda, Piedmont, ....
Water Aerobics: List ALL centers having this.
So, List by Activity and then the Rec Center offering THAT DAY. Have it post the day before. I find it a bit overwhelming at times, to go through all of the centers then the activity list. The reverse is much easier as I am not a computer report type gal.
I find it easy to see the activity and then where it is.
Hit me on the flip flop, hippity hop... if you get my drift. ;-)
