Does any diabetic in TV follow the diabetes principles explained in the books Blood Sugar 101 by Judy Ruhl (website: Bloodsugar101.com) or Dr. Richard Bernsteins Diabetes Solution: The Complete Guide to Achieving Normal Blood Sugars (website:Thebernsteinconnection.com). The first author talks about being in the 5% Club, meaning your A1c stays in that range. It all has to do with finding what amout of carbs and meds lets you accomplish that goal. Does anyone know a doctor who follows Dr Bernsteins methods. I will be moving to TV in August 2012. Would like to join or start a 5% Club of diabetics who want to take control of their diabetes to stay healthy and active. Thanks for the help in advance. Barb

Along the lines of reading & research, there is good DVD Forks over Knives, the movie focus on one patient Joey Acoin, he was so bad he had to take two shots a day and a bunch of meds.
He now takes nothing, I met him a few months ago in Tampa so not only saw the movie but talked to him first hand on how he and many others eliminated type II., and is drug free.
You can buy it on Amazon or Netflix
