We have a Stonybrook CYV for five years. We were only here a couple of weeks a year, generally in the spring and fall. We noticed before the first year was up that we had wet carpet just below all of our windows. Called home warranty and was told that it was due to cracks in the stucco. Didn't believe that but they sent someone out to look/repair cracks. Next year it happened again. Again called home warranty and they said it was due to cracks in stucco and the year was up. We complained and got them out again to look/repair whatever needed to be done. Again they patched a few cracks. Next year we called again and they sent a window guy at our constant request. He said windows were not sealed properly at corners and placed silicone in the corners. Next year we did not notice any wet spots but we came during a dry period. Now we are here full time. After all of the rain on Sunday and today our carpet is soaked about 6 inches out under the south facing windows. Has anyone encountered this problem and what did u do? Or what would you do if you were in my shoes?

Ditto. :agree: They obviously built it incorrectly and don't know how to repair it. Lemon law comes to mind but that doesn't apply to houses. A properly built house simply does not let water in no matter which direction it blows from.
