I've switched back and forth between CNN and Fox News coverage of the Supreme Court's ruling supporting the individual mandate and most of ObamaCare. I'm getting dizzy. One seems to report the news pretty straight up. The other has reported the news, but is now concentrating on the dissenting opinion and how the Chief Justice, thought to be a reliable conservative vote, was obviously the swing vote on the issue.
A dizzying difference in perspectives on the news of the decision given the fact that the talking heads are talking, obviously not having read the 250-page ruling. As the partisans have more time to develop their soundbites, it'll get even better (or worse maybe?). Maybe the politicians will actually read the ruling before getting in front of the cameras, something they didn't do before they passed the bill.
The talking heads don't even agree on who won politically. Both channels initially said it was a huge win for Obama. Now Fox is shifting, saying it's a game-changer in the fall election, hugely favoring Romney.
Let the spin begin.

It is very interesting. Heard Romney speak a few minutes ago on FOX News and he does seem to be going in that same direction, of course, that the Republicans should repeal the law if they gain control.

I am waiting for the spin from Willard, or Fox, that HE should get the credit - after all, Obamacare was based on Romneycare in MA.

I can't imagine how this can be seen as a 'game changer" to Romney's advantage. If he continues to concentrate his campaign on promises to repeal AHC he will be reminded of the Court's "endorsement" and hammered by the fact that there is no way he will be working with a cooperative Senate. Advantage Obama.
If his superpacs use scare tactics with the costs of AHC, those claims can be convincingly refuted to discerning folks who pay attention to that and AHC benefits trumpeted. Advantage Obama.
So, Mitt, back to the drawing board. It's still about the economy, stupid.
Still a chance you can spend megamillions to fool the people enough, claiming the worst downturn since the Depression was Obama's fault and that the significant progress since has not happened. Oh, and that all the other stuff Obama did so far is meaningless or bad.

Deval Patrick current Mass. governor said moments ago, "I think if the polls were showing public opinion favoring affordable healthcare act, Mr. Romney would favor it".

Technically the court did not "endorse" it. They only judged its constitutionality.

that's why "endorsement" is in quotes. I'm referring to how the Dems will spin it.

remind me what happened during the past two years that has changed the positions of the 70% of Americans who were against Obama care and made it known as such with the 2010 election results?

SCOTUS said the mandate is constitutional.

Could you kindly cite your source for the favorability rating of Obamacare.
No one who studies elections would agree that any issue came close to the state of the economy and the slower than hoped for recovery in 2010.
