I have a friend who sings in a 1960's style quartet. They periodically appear in various venues in Las Vegas.
They would like to get the opportunity to appear in The Villages, perhaps at the Town Squares and/or Katie Belle's.
Where and to whom should they submit a demo CD and request more information about being considered for occasional appearances here?
Thanks for any information you can provide.

Maybe Check Katie Belle's in person. Contact the GM at KB and I am sure he can point you in the right direction.

The person in charge of entertainment for squares is Barbara Vesco
barbara.vesco@thevillages.net or barbara.vesco@thevillages.com
Not sure if .net or .com. Anyway, I've sent her a couple of emails to suggest a local band I heard "off campus". I have yet to receive any kind of reply.

One of our new neighbors here in TV has entertained professionally for years. He also was interested in becoming a regular in TV, playing at one of the squares or KB's etc. Submitted his demo CD some time ago - He's still waiting - lots of competition for these spots.

Many bands here[not all] have interchangeable members from the Paul Vesco band.I've ranted on this before so I'm not going there but needless to say, Barb Vesco is the entertainment director and it's seems difficult for new acts to get booked. Before anyone here says these various acts that play regularly are good bands,I never said they weren't.

Well, its their party and we'll cry if we want to. This is the Morses' private property, so they or there agents can say who plays on the Squares. They should be looking for some new acts though with the opening in Wildwood of Brownwood Paddock Square. Brownwood Paddock Square (http://www.thevillagesfloridabook.com/brownwood-paddock-square/)

I would suggest that they get started at places like City Fire, Cody's The lady Lake American Legion, The Light House, Waterfront Inn, Margarita Republic and Gators Dockside these places have entertainment many nights a week. Also check into the Country Clubs perhaps Hacienda Hills, Havana, Mallory Hill, and Tierra Del Sol these Country Clubs all have entertainment several nights a week.
It has been said that City Fire has signed an lease at Brownwood and will have entertainment on a larger scale than they have presently.
Then as people hear them they will perhaps land other gigs like at private party's at the rec-centers. If they are good the word will spread quickly and The Villages town squares and Katie Belles may come after a presence is established..
