As of today the cottage models are no longer offered with options of your choice, they will be built to spec and offered like patio villas & CYV.

The designer employees that worked on those will now transfer their efforts to designer & premier models.

The reasoning is to speed up the lead time to select options & build.

Sorry you won't be building your cottage home Jimbo. But you got the lot and a neighborhood you wanted and will now be able to customize your designer! Lots to think about and consider!:coolsmiley:

Oh yea, we are satisfied the way it worked out for several reasons but the Cottage would have been a bit less $$.

But it's only money :ohdear:

TV tweaks what options are offered on what models from time to time, probably based on supply and demand. Demand appears to be quite high now, leading to a cutback on customizations offered so that supply can catch up. Or so it seems.

You are right as usual, P.

NOTHING...not any kind of home was built custom when we bought our first house, already built..(all that was offered at that time)...just four years ago in Hadley.

They respond to market situations and it has kept them going strong.

Yep! So correct. I bought my lot on May 19th. The location of the lot dictates that you start your build within 3 months, I believe. But the first appt I could get with the design team is for this September. Apparently they are quite busy!! They had to allow me the time because of the appointment time but it all works out in the end!

Too bad. There are a lot of great layouts in the Cottage series.

I agree Gracie. We bought in Amelia...will be 5 years ago in July. Our house was pretty generic (it's a ranch...now called "Cottage"). They were in a selling frenzy at that time as well. We ended up putting about $50K in upgrades ourselves...should have just purchased a designer!! LOL!
