Last night while walking down throughout spanish springs, my husband and I stopped in the art store with friends just to browse. We came upon a wall with art work that completely stopped us in our tracks!! We stood there in awe staring at it. It was Obama BURNING the CONSTITUTION. Next to it was another piece called "THE FORGOTTEN MAN" The woman in the store told us the Whole story behind the painting as our "liberal friends" walked out of the store.

On the way home, my husband said "that painting is so haunting, but yet so true" I think we need to go back to purchase it. We're on our way!! As we , the american citizens, are the FORGOTTEN MAN!!! How sad, but how very very True!!

To each his own.

I went to that same art store several months ago just to browse. I saw the same pictures you mentioned and the store owner was more than happy to tell me all of the meaning of the picture of the "forgotten man". I looked around the store and left.

I returned to the store in about 15 minutes with my wife just to show her that ridiculous picture. We went in and the store owner greeted us and asked if we needed help in finding some particular painting. I just smiled and said, "No thanks, I just wanted to show my wife that treasonous piece of crap you told me about a short time ago." We looked the picture and left the store and will not go back under any circumstance.

Great story Buggy. I kind of like some of the well executed paintings in that art shop. My favorite part of your story was was that it ticked you off. I may have to get a print of that on the back of my golf shirt. I think you having to look at it the whole game will give me an edge. :)

Mr McNaughton can look forward to another four years of producing these masterpieces. In front of this store is a perfect place for me to set up stand and pass out Obama stickers.

Jon McNaughton lives in Utah with his family. My guess is that a lot of stores with Republican loyalties around the US have some of these paintings for sale. This one is not bad though. McNaughton Fine Art (http://www.mcnaughtonart.com/artwork/view_zoom/319) The soldiers are interesting.

Do think that many Villagers though have as much if not more talent than is shown in these paintings.

Absolutely, that's why we have the 1st Amendment(we still do have that, don't we.)

Did anyone notice that in The Forgotten Man he is standing on the Constitution?

I'd never buy this thing, not for political reasons, I just don't like schlock art.
