Not sure if this goes here but I'll give it a try.
Just closed on a house in TV and looking for any feedback on pest control, lawn treatment etc. Former owner had Regal Pest Control.
They seem rather anxious to jam me into a 1 year deal at $750 that includes Lawn and Shrubs, Pest Control, and Termites.
Since I'm unfamiliar with the area or pricing I'd appreciate any feedback or advice.
Thanks,
Bob

Whatever you do, DO NOT pay in advance. We have different companies for mowing, pest control and lawn treatments. We got recommendations from neighbors and from our sales representative. Also, call Seniors vs. Crime at 352-689-4600 to find out if anyone you are considering has complains against them.

There R a lot of folks here that pay for such services in advance, do that and see who has control of your property.

Why on earth should they get paid in advance,
do the work first, looks good here's your money.

When I move there I would see if those services available by the month or quarter, I would rather pay a buck or two more if necessary to pay as we go.

I agree with Bosoxfan, don't put all your eggs.........

I will say one thing I found here, is Massey for termites, big company & they do all the new homes, also good feedback

You mentioned a termite bond....I assume from your post you bought a resale. If that's the case, and the former owner had a "Termite bond" contract, it should be assumable by new owner (you). It is a good idea to do that. Termites love sandy soil, humid conditions and food (wood, sheet rock etc). So protection is a must IMHO. And assuming a contract is cheaper than starting out with a new company.
Welcome to TV, BTW!
