I heard it was going to be between the Orange and Banana stores. The Costco and Trader Joe's are going to be the anchor stores at either end.:highfive:

What, no Trader Joe's, Costco or Wegmens? They did not disclose that when we purchased our home. LOL

Haven't you rumor starters read the Steve Jobs book? There is a whole section in there that talks about Apple Stores, where they put them where they put them and why. Apple predominately chooses mall settings for their stores with very few stand alone or strip mall stores.

Brownwood doesn't fit the mold.

Wow! That's at least two "rat burgers" they will sell.

Krystal's are ok the buns are too thick. If you ever had fresh white castle right off the grill you know what I mean. Nobody beats white castle. The frozen ones are all right but no pickles if you need a fix they will do. Have to make a road trip to Tennessee to get my favorites white castle and Culver's.

Went to Brownwood Acres yesterday, the original one in Central Lake, MI. The only apple I saw was on a tree.

We'll be there soon too. I spent my summers on Torch Lake 100 yards from Brownwood and would go to the "Honey House" almost every day.

I was going to add maybe the "Apple" store poster heard that Brownwood would have some Cherry or Apple butter and heard the rumor wrong.

I also grew up in Central Lake. Say hello to Torch Lake for me.

I believe the TV demographic is not what Apple would look for as a customer base. The reason they prefer malls is that is where the young folks hang out. You know, the ones with all the money that just have to have the latest devices.

Here is a vote for In-and-Out from a die hard White Castle and Cincinnati chili fan. Lived in Ohio for years but business took me to CA every other week or so. When they put the In-And-Out Burger close to LAX that really made it great for arrival and departure fixes until the next trip. It's too bad that the Trader's Joes front office has a thing about expanding to FL. They are a natural for The Villages.

Apple Store would be great, but do no think it would survive.. There are alot of Apple users here :bigbow:

But it really craves the younger crowd also... That is a high end store, just do not see it staying afloat afte reading the demographics they lurk for.

I think a campaign to bring in White Castle is a brilliant idea. Love the onions.

I agree with GaryW.
Apple stores need big cities like Orlando or Tampa.
Apple definitely has a superior product line, but it is pricey and appeals to a young techie crowd. Village People ,IMHO, seem to go for whatever is cheapest!

There will be an Apple Store in TV when Martians land here. As others said, it's a demographic mismatch extraordinaire.

However, since we can't have an Apple Store, how about a Banana Republic.

We should get people that travel up north to bring us back crave cases of white castles when they come back here. My son used to buy them when he visited Michigan and packed them in a suitcase to travel back to California. On time he sold them on the plane because people didn't like the snacks that they served.
