I believe that women golfers in Korea have reached rock star status. Se Re Pak is a national treasure in Korea. Except for a few of us golf nuts who really appreciate their level of play, how many American women golfers could you name. In S.Korea, little girls want to grow up to be Se Re Pak. I think that is the big difference. In South Korea and other Asian countries, women's golf is a big deal. Here, it is an afterthought for most.

On the golf course American Ladies are getting their butt kicked. Endorsements, no thank you, Gulbus, Creamer, Wie and a couple others are doing quite well. Overall, the LPGA is struggling as they have lost several sponsors the last couple years and there are open dates on their schedule. With few exceptions, our best athletics (girls and boys) tend to participate in team sports as opposed to individual sports such as golf. The LPGA, PGA and USGA is quite aware of the problem but have yet to come up with a real solution.
