It is amazing......I have a good friend who is in retail and he told me that right after the election that talk was rampant and still is although not as hard core !!!

I just checked it out on Snopes.com and it definitely is a hoax going around. I wonder if it has hit or will hit The Villages with all the seniors here. I am sure some would give out their Social Security number if the telephone caller sounded sincere and said their utility bills would be paid for one month.

I think this should be relayed to the Daily Sun or Seniors vs Crime to let them know of such a hoax and to warn people not to give out SS numbers.

As for stupidity, think about all the stupid people who lost tens of thousands of dollars to Nigerian scammers.

It is in The Villages "area"....certain places and has been for 3 years. (not in the residential area) This is not a new attitude
