Well, Mitt Romney gave his speech at the NAACP convention in Houston and got loudly booed by the audience.

Joe Biden gave his speech at the same convention and got rousing applause.

Gee, what does that tell you? Two white guys, both millionaires, one Democrat and one Republican. The Republican gets booed by the audience over and over and the Democrat gets applauded. Which party is getting the NAACP and Latino vote? Democrats!

Republicans have lost out on Black votes, Latino votes, Democrat votes, over half the Independent votes, women votes, gay and lesbian votes, and thinking person votes. Not too much left, is there?

Well, as Ed Rollins has observed - they got the old, fat, white guy vote.

It is rumored that Romney is trying to get Condeleza Rice to run as his V.P. with him. The last time I saw her interviewed, she said she was done with politics.

Enforce victimization mindset instead of promoting solutions to dependence on others and you get applause from the masters of victimization.

Big whoop, what a surprise.

buggyone: What does that tell me "expect the expected". What does it mean is quite another thing. Each of the above-stated groups you have cited represent the radical portion of their individual groups. so it was preordained on how they would react. It is an indication as to how they feel but it may not represent what the whole of that group believes in whole.

Not surprising at all....it's called "black by association".

How are the Democrats and the NCAAP masters of the victimization mindset? There's an African-American President and many black Senators and Representatives in State and Federal governments. Some of these are even Republicans.

I also do not see ObamaCare as a dependence on others unless it is construed as a burdern on various taxpayers rather than a way that many can actually afford overpriced health care.

In terms of staying loyal to his beliefs, not seeking wealth, and staying grounded in his home district Biden is about the closest thing to Harry Truman we may ever again see on the national political stage. (I am not saying he is like Truman in every other way)

Amen, and the first thing WMR will do is cut funding for Joe's beloved Amtrak. A working man's style of transportation.

This was just a diversion put out there by the Romney campaign to change the subject. It is very doubtful that Mitt Romney would pick a running mate who is pro-choice, pro-affirmative action, and so closely associated with the Bush administration.

I don't know what you're trying to say. What does your examples have to do with the NAACP? I was talking about the NAACP as an organization. It's mission has changed over the years from an advocacy group promoting integration into mainstream America, to often demanding gratuities on a racial basis and promoting a racial agenda. At least, it appears that way to me.

I'm not going to argue ObamaCare here, because I think you're really oversimplifying it, and I don't want to go to far afield on this thread.

Richie,Rubi,I am growing tired of your constant "dependance on others" hogwash. You say nothing about almost free loans to bankers that we cannot get, billions in oil subsidies, billions for defense contractors building stuff we don't ned, food subsidies Wall St bailouts, and on and on When did we become a country where millionaires are jealous of people on food stamps? A country that thinks that firefighters, police and teachers are soaking us dry. A country that thinks the richest who are paying the lowest taxes in 80 years are the ones being beaten up. It seems that you guys want to eliminate or curtail all programs for the middle and lower classes while letting business and the rich do whatever they want. I don't get it.

I don't get it either. Your post was insightful and spot on.

eceissenbach When Biden atended syracuse he dated and married a girl that my wife knew growing up. Biden wasn't notd for his intelligent acumen then and that issue remains.
this first wife was killed in an auto accident. So from my earlier understandings of Biden there is nothing remotely close to biden possessing anything Truman

waynet: I feel your pain and I am also growing tired of this dependence issue So I wish people would start fending for themselves because it has become a generational career move for many of them
