Mah Jong Cards

Can anyone tell me--the cards used in TV for mah jong--are they the 2012 red national league cards or the 2012 green American league card--year of the dragon? Also, when in the year do they start using the new card?

TV groups use the National Mah Jongg League cards for 2012, starting as soon as they're available, usually end of March (ordered by mail) or early April, when sold in stores, mainly Purple Pig.
