Wow, to think that our President thinks that his only mistake in his first term is that he placed POLICY ahead of STORYTELLING. I don't think that those who voted for him, wanted him to be reading Grimms Fairy Tales instead of making policy that would have gotten this country out of the mess that we are currently in.
Could or would one of the Libs on this board explain that for me. Thanks.

I know, Figmo. It seems that the President feels he hasn't told a good enough "story" about his historic presidency. He thinks he was too busy working to tell a good "story" to the people about how really marvelous it has all been, and how his presence in our lives has brought about much to be thankful for.
........................pretty funny.

Well it would seem that Obama's whole life story has been a fictional work in progress in writing all along. I mean watch him as he stands on the X mark in front of a lectern. Watch his eyes, arms expressions. I have done quite a bit of public speaking over the years. Certainly I am not suggesting that one should not be rehearsed. However what I am suggesting is that depite rehearsing his lack of insincereity shines through as brightly as the sun. Apparently far too many people hear his words but ignore his body language and body language contributes 50% of one's communication. To finalize my point recall the effect when a video's vocie track is out of sync with the video Its like watch those old time Asian maritial arts movies

President Obama could have answered the question as George W Bush did by saying that he couldn't think of one mistake he had made as president. "Can't think of anything" he said. Someone in the audience should have refreshed his memory by reminding him about the unnecessary war in Iraq, which cost over a trillion dollars and hundred of thousand of lives; the unpaid for Bush tax cuts; the unpaid for medicare prescription drug coverage; the squandering of the surplus he inherited from Bill Clinton.

It is pathetic. He should have been working with Congress. Who needs stories.

a mistake is having sex in the White House with an intern. Decision made concerning the USA may be a mistake or the best possible decision within executive certainty based on your political views.

If you listen to what B.O. & Michelle say, Their actual words recorded on mainstream media, Liberal News as well as well as conservative, & you assume that B.O. & Michelle are telling the truth...then B.O. was born in Kenya, Michelle never respected America until her husband was elected President, Michell puts herself first, her kids 2nd, husband third and country...??? The key to my argument is listening to their own words, in their entirety. Don't listen to what the pundits say, listen to what they say. It's what they say that reveals how they feel about America & Americans, how they feel about our country. If you actually listen, you will not vote for a 2nd term for B.O.

I think your new tag means nothing really.
This is a battle for our country and our freedom, and the future of our young to have the same opportunities we had. It's simply that important.
Being extra nice won't win that struggle.

the president thinks he hasn't been telling stories? yikes! the biggest story so far might be that the affordable health care act isn't a tax! and then there was the one about how spending the stimulus $ would bring unemployment below 8%...or the one about not having lobbyists in the white house...transparency is another laugher...and the closing of gitmo is too old to really bring up - but i'll throw it in anyway...and he really didn't bow to the king of saudi arabia - did he? sheesh! does obama really think that the folks who have lost thier homes, lost their jobs, lost a nest egg or who have lost faith in america need to hear a story? when do we get the hear how the story ends; and will it end where we all live happily ever after? the american people need a LEADER and NOT a STORYTELLER!
