Obviously a Political posting and should not be here.
Your cause is not well served by ignoring the accepted rules.
This is a posting in Clubs of the Villages to denote an upcoming event. I think she posts the meeting notice every month.
Any discussion of the meeting other than where or when is in the Political Forum.

I've deleted my post in favor of Zcavemans, which I didn't see until after I posted mine!

Unless you folks are serving tea and crumpets and discussing the latest Martha Stewart table settings, this is the wrong forum for these posts. Anything about President Obama would, by definition, be considered political in my book.
Look at the top of this page. You'll see a tab called "Clubs." Use it. This is the second or third thread that has been started here about your "new" club.

I agree. Plus your title. I think you could call it Romneycare since his plan for Mass. is the blueprint for The Affordable Care Act. I resent the term Obamacare. There is no such word except for the right making the word. Both parties passed it. In Washington it was called The Affordable Care Act and by Consumer Reports, Insurance companies etc. The Tea party is trying very hard to keep Obama from being elected and one way is to publish misinformation on The Affordable Care Act. I don't sign up for Political because I Don't want to read political and this is totally political.

I agree - they should just list the club name, date, time and location, not "agendas". Those are for the political forum.

Actually, this is the 6th post from the same poster about the "new" club. Other posts were on 6/23, 6/29, 7/2, 7/6 and 7/9.

I don't understand the bashing of the OP. Only information was provided and no discussion was made or generated. In the information provided, there was only the announcement of the meeting, what the topic of discussions will be and that questions will be answered by two doctors who will be present!
WHERE'S THERE ANY DISCUSSION IN THAT???
BTW, I would say the same thing if equivelent information was made about The Democratic Club!
Disclaimer: I am not a member of the Tea Party or this club nor have I ever been! I've also never attended any of their meetings!

Please note that the very active Democratic Club does not post meeting notices on TOTV. We have a web site and a mailing list. Maybe the "Tea Party" needs a better organizer.

To put things in perspective, "Taxed Enough Already" is the movement's basis and concept.
If people believe themselves to be not "taxed enough already", and are feeling like they should be paying more, then this club is not their "cup of tea".

Thats exactly right skyguy. I posted the club is meeting tonight, the time, the place and the topic. PERIOD. Nothing wrong in advertising a villages club. any discussion I plan on having I have under political. Starting to get it yet??? If you don't like the club, don't read the details on the time and place. Basic, simple info. Nothing else.

Just because one choses to have their own website and not post legit notices does not mean that another must follow suit!
BTW, if you read throught the above thread you'll notice that I also defended the Democats in a non-partisan way when a non appropriate comment was made by someone with a different point of view was posted. That inappropriate post has since been deleted, but I do have it quoted in my defending post if you want to confirm what I just said!

Enough... This thread is about a meeting. The discussion that followed turned it political. This thread will be closed. Meeting info has been disseminated.
