I just received another link that I thought some might like. It is related to the Stress and Belief Change thread and Dr. Bruce Lipton who referred to Psych K as a way of changing beliefs that limit us. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a process that uses the same theory and process base (TCM). I have been using EFT both personally and in my practice for over 15 yrs and as a quick, practical self-help or guided tool it is one of the best. Finally, it appears that it may get into more mainstream practices, which is about the right time line for going "public" (15 years). It always takes that long for the general public to go from dismissive through ridicule, and into acceptance. Now that Quantum Theory is still being ridiculed by some, EFT and TCM is finally going mainstream and it will be another 15 years for people to recognize that stress and change can happen even faster. But then again, time seems to be accelerating so for now I am happy that progress in this area is moving forward and I feel very fortunate to be able to share it with those who may be interested and on the same page.

EFT is One Step Closer to Professional Association Approval! (http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2012/07/18/eft-health-professionals-acceptance.aspx)

I think you are right about the process for finally gaining acceptance. Thanks for posting these "leading edge" ideas. Maybe some day they will be "mainstream".

I do Taoist Tai Chi, which I find really balancing. At night, if I wake and find I'm "off", I find that EFT is the fastest way to get back to sleep, rather than a movement. The brain gets in the groove and it can be imagined and is just as effective. Even have clients who do it that way at night and they find it works well. I feel so fortunate to have many tools in the tool bag.

When I wake up during the night because of "overactive bladder" I get back to sleep fast by practicing meditation.
