Oil Leak Rear End

When I park my Yamaha Gas 2002 it drips a couple drops of rea end oil on the floor. It seems worse after a long trip. It appears its coming from the breather or what ever it is on the top of the rear axle. Is it posible it over filled, is there a way to check the oil level.

Drain differential oil and if clean only put back in 415 CC or 14 ounces. If you still have oil left over, than that is the answer.
If your leak continues it may be necessary to extend the oil vent, I will go into that process if needed on a new thread.
