Just added a golf cart to our villa rental and need to see how everyone else handles it in the rental. Does anyone already have a contract. Thanks

Check with insurance companies to see if you can get it covered by insurance so you are not liable for any damage caused by YOUR golf cart. It might prove mighty hard to find.

I agree, it can be hard to find. I just learned that if we rented a cart, or a home that included one, we would be covered, in most cases, by the liability and personal injury provisions of our homeowners/auto insurance.
It's a very gray area. It might not hurt to check with your insurance agent.

If you are the rentor of the house and golf car, your auto policy would not cover the rented golf car. The homeowners, depending on the company you are insured with, probably would cover the liability while you were on a golf course, but no place else. It appears by the talk on this site that it is all but impossible to get coverage for rented golf cars. If I were the owner of the house I would not be including mine with the rental. To much to lose.

In case of injury to persons or to property, it is so easy to lose absolutely everything you worked so hard to achieve. Best idea is NOT to include a golf cart with your rental house. Let the renters rent one from one of the golf cart stores.
