Perfect examples of a Do Nothing Congress. Just focusing on getting re-elected and not doing business for the good of the country.

Not a suprise. This same sort of self centered crap has been going on for months. Doesn't everyone understand that this is the REPUBLICAN CONTROLLED hOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that is serving the interests of only themselves at the expensive of all middle class citizens regardless of political affiliation. How could anyone ever again vote for the likes of John Boenher, Eric Cantor and the 2010 class of do nothing constructive Tea Party radicals.

Such crap. Let's work on Food Stamps, Welfare and endless Unemployment checks...............NO??...........WHY??......... because those are the things that would peck away at the Democrat base.

Every election time you lefties start asking about Farm Subsidies........I wonder why......

Well said. The no compromise attitude has the country at a stand still.

I meant BOTH parties. I did say a DO NOTHING CONGRESS. I did not say a do nothing House or a do nothing Senate. Both are downright worthless in terms of helping the country. They have to learn the art of compromise to some degree.

Well I will have to agree in part concerning some Republicans. Some have not gotten the message and they believe they can conduct busiess as usual. The Tea Party should not be thrown in with this lot as they have a different agenda. It is why we need Mitt Romney because when all the dust settles he will lead as a moderate and in this point in time this country needs a moderate because the left is too far left and the right too far right. It is also why I favor Marco Rubio as VP because while the poistion is usually ceremonial I believe a guy like Romney will delegate as business leaders usually do.

As for the farm bill again I agree we need to review this method of assistance because it normally subsidizes rich farmers. Having said that attached to that bill is the food samp bill that liberals want to expand this program and it is this latter topic that has caused the battle...meaning some Democrats would go along with the farm bill because it helps in their district too but are caught up in the food stamp issue. Again we find some politicians placing their self interest ahead of what is best for the country. In that liberals, indepedents and conservatives should join together and demand a halt to it all. But far too many voters are too heavily invested in the party line. Its a mistake and its hurting us all.... Its....My country tis of thee...not my party tis of thee

how about opening both eyes and take note of the selectivity being used by Harry Reid in the senate. If you haven't noted the multi year pile up of legislation that sits on his desk....then you are really asleep, naieve, or so deeply partisan slanted it doesn't matter because that is the D side of the equation.

I sometimes think many do not understand the legislative process....why else would some of these in left field (pun intended) comments keep hitting the floor!

campaign finance reform, term limits, and no add-ons to bills. Until that happens it will be very difficult to get anything done.
