We've rented from about 6 different options and after renting from grandmas and grandpas once we will definitely stay with them! We've had some really bad experiences with others!

We had a reservation that I had made a month ago through 1st Cart Rental. When I called the prior week to verify the two rental carts Marc told me if I had made the reservation then he would bring them. I called the day of the delivery and was told I had only reserved one cart. My husband spoke to him and words were heated and Marc said he did not like my husband's attitude and would not bring any carts.
Glad we have The Talk of The Villages! We immediatly looked here and found recommendations from Grandpa and Grandma's and they brought over two GREAT carts! We highly recommend them.
Please watch out with 1st Cart Rental - Marc was rude and did not have his facts about the number of carts we had reserved.

What is a fair price to pay for just a average cart for a week ?

Thank you all. I found a house for the month of January, but it does not come with a golf cart. Since I do not have a car at The Villages and use my golf cart to get everywhere, I reserved one thru Grandpa and Grandma's. I believe I could have gotten a slightly better price elsewhere, but at G&G all their golf carts are late model and not the slow kind. My piece of mind is worth a few extra dollars. Thanks again.

I responded to an add in the daily sun and spoke to Marc. I ordered
A 4 passenger gas cart for a week. When he delivered the cart it was an
Electric cart and he told me that is what he had left. After using the cart for one trip to the Town Square I charged it overnight. the next day it broke down with a dead battery
At colony plaza. I called Marc who said he would not respond with another cart and would
pick up the dead cart the next day. he picked up the cart on the following day and refused to give me a refund. I have since contacted him for a refund and receive only rude responses.

Stay clear of this guy! He also advertises in the Daily Sun selling golf carts privately. He misrepresents the used carts and is less than truthful how he acquired the carts. Beware!

We have rented from J and J carts, used to be Jim Followells - now his daughter and SIL. We have been happy with the carts and the service.

I understand (I think) that you mean the golf carts from other places such as The Villages Golf Carts are very slow. I have used those myself on ocassion. How fast do the G&G carts go? I would not want to be stopped for going over the 20 mph speed limit on public streets.

Does Ma & Pa rent gas ?
If not how fast can the electric carts go?
Can I go from the Holiday Inn to the Brownwood Sq & drive around for a day, with one charge.
Is there a book "TV for dummies"
Can I make that trip in a day?
It looks a long way away on the map.
