Has anyone used Edward Jones Investing in Wildwood? If so what has been your experience, most recent in the last year.

I am not a financial guru so for what it's worth:

IMHO - I used Edward Jones in CT and they are about the same as all other investing firms. I think it depends on the financial consultant that is assigned to you. Mine didn't make me any money and to be fair, he didn't lose any either.

I think Charles Schwab is a better choice. More flexible investment options.
I have a good one at Schwab and he made me money. Their Senior VP - Liz Ann Sonders is their financial guru and she knows what she is talking about when it comes to market trends.

Please investigate as this is an important decision.

We are happy with our Edward Jones rep. in Orlando where we lived prior to TV.
He will come to TV for us or anyone else.

We use Edward Jones on Wedgwood, across from the high school. Jane is very knowledgeable and extremely competent. Would highly recommend her to anyone, especially retirees.

My experience with them is that their fees run about 4% to 5% which is way too high. You can get similiar funds that are highly rated by morningstar for a fraction of the fees that EJ charges.

I believe there are no fees if you have 500K with them other than their fee for trading stocks which is higher than Scwab.

I have been an advisor for 30 years. While I don't know the Edward Jones advisor in question, in general this firm nationally is highly regarded.

BarryRx, you should not compare advisor fees with mutual fund fees alone, but if you were paying totals of 5% to 6% you were being robbed.

For those of you do-it-yourselfers, save yourselves some money and go with Scwab.
