I watch TV and read this sites posts, but I still don't see the problem with Obama other than over spending in some areas. I do not get the socialist Marxist comments. I am on Social Security and it makes my life great. Without social programs, so many would suffer. I think we should take a look at how to make more social programs help the elderly, the sick, the poor rather than try to tear them all down. We have social subsidizing of wealthy land owners like M Bachmann while so many go hungry. Take away farm subsidies and subsidize meals for the poor. How do any posters on this forum think that Mitt Romney could have any empathy for the middle class? Did he ever have to get a mortgage on any of his six mansions? Did he ever have to apply for a college loan? He recently told a group of young people if they needed money for college or to start a business to "borrow it from their parents". What planet does he live on?

Any person with a half a brain knows business people were successful for thousands of years and long before the government was involved. Anyone with half a brain also knows the government can't do ANYTHING that isn't paid for off the back of others hard work.. namely taxes collected, most of which they waste. If you read the books about Obama by his supporters, you discover that he had a fairly easy life, lived in a beach front condo, attended a private high school. traveled a lot, smoked pot, courted the ladies...then got in to an American college as a foreign exchange student. His mother was a PHD doctor holding several important posts...he came from money, maybe not as much as Mitt Romney's family but certainly more than the average household. Neither of them really lacked for much.

now just why is it there is such a focus and need to high light what the media would have some of you so happy about what Romney did or does in the UK on his first official visit? And even more interesting was when Obama went there the first time his screw ups when greeting the Queen and the inappropriate gift for her and what ever else....now just why wasn't that as well documented and spot lighted as the current candidate?

I am just amazed at how easily some on this forum are so consumed with minutia and are satisfied with the fact that there is little, if any discussion of the serious issues facing this country and what is to be done about it. The philosophy must be the same as in Washington...if it is ignored maybe it will go away. We certainly don't want the current administration to try and explain why this country is in flat go no where with no improvement mode. I know it is difficult to have to explain what after almost 4 years there is no improvement.
