Very good explanation of your options when transitioning from Cobra to Medicare. You can have Cobra supplement Medicare. Just abide by the rules!
Unless you're independently wealthy or have virtually free health benefits for the remainder of your life, opt into Medicare 3 months before or 3 months after the month you turn 65!
