Read it and weep Obama sycophants.
This is the same margin Obama enjoyed in the polls this time 2008.

Rasmussen Reports polls are, at best, the result of a flawed polling model and, at worst, designed to undermine Democratic politicians and the party’s national agenda.

Au contraire Rasmussen Reports are among the most respected.

Gallup has them even. There will be a distancing after the VP announcement.

Let's see the odds the bookies give in Vegas as the debates approach?

I'm thinking Mr Rubio will add some needed spice to the numbers.

Obviously, this Rasmussen poll was taken before Mitt Romney's disastrous international trip...also before Romney releases his tax returns.

Come on folks, be realistic. The battle is over. I would not be surprised if Obama bowed out of the race prior to the convention, so he can avoid an embarrasing and expensive fiasco. It is well documented that polls taken three plus months prior to an election are totally and irrevocably accurate in the end.

Polls are one thing but I'm afraid election day is another. Hope the polls do mean something.

best bet on the debates?
Don't waste your time unless you are a fan of one act stage operas.
We already know what they will be talking about or should I say calling each other or saying about each other.
I understand the audiences will be wearing the plastic rain suits they used to wear when going to see Gallagher.........you know to be protected from the mud and BS!

I will watch them, albeit with low expectations. They can tell you about poise and in rare occasions, the ability to think on one's feet. Politicians have gotten so programmed with their stump speech and talking points that they rarely deviate, and when they do their handlers go into cardiac arrest and begin the spinning.

That is very true. It was so telling in the biopic of Sarah Palin made by HBO of how she was prepped in every detail for her debate and then was told if a question was asked that was not studied; she should switch the topic right away.
That was a great political movie - as well as showing what a twit Caribou Barbie really is.

Am I alone here or are there other voters who have had enough of the campaigns and ready to vote now!:boxing2:

Game Change seemed a bit biased. Not a lot biased; it certainly has quite a liberal Hollywood spin to it though.
Some of it was also false like the heckler saying "Kill Obama" or whatever it was in the movie. Never happened according to well informed sources.

[QUOTE=RichieLion;530077]Read it and weep Obama sycophants.
This is the same margin Obama enjoyed in the polls this time 2008.
Here is the data for the end of July 2008
CBS Obama +6
AP Obama +6
Gallup Obama +2
Rasmussen Obama +1
Final Result: Obama +7
Source: Daily Kos: National Polls Show Obama Holding His Lead (http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/08/07/564025/-National-Polls-Show-Obama-Holding-His-Lead)
Here is the data for end of July 2012
CBS Romney +1
AP Obama +6 6/14. They release July data soon
Galllup Even 7/28/12
Rasmussen Romney +2 today's poll 7/29/12 47/45
While Obama's lead is likely smaller in national polls than it was in 2008, it is clear that Rasmussen uses a model which did not do well in 2008. Of greater import is the state by state data. Romney is running ahead of McCain in red states as they become more red. In the critical swing states, so far despite the poor economy Obama continues to poll ahead of Romney.
As of July 20th, the Las Vegas odds on the race
2012 U.S. Presidential Election Betting Odds | 2012 Presidential Betting Lines (http://www.politicalbettingodds.com/2012-us-presidential-election-odds.html)
One dollar bet on Obama pays $0.59
One dollar on Rmoney pays $1.40
Nate Silver has the electoral college at 294/244 for Obama
Lots of time left

Why do you on left worry about tax returns? I.R.S.has seen them good enough.Unless you all don't trust government? But we all know how much you do trust them because you all want more government. If you spent much time looking at obama's dealings with Rezko even you guys wouldn't vote for him.

You are free to be a wise guy, it's fine with me.
But I only report that Obama had this same lead in Rasmussen at this time 2008.
.......and, that's a fact......Jack!

Rasmussen is the house pollster for Faux News and is always cited by the Cons - Not only that, in 2000 Rasmussen picked the wrong winner in 7 states !!!!
I'll believe this guy any day - his electoral breakdown is fairly consistent with dozens of other electoral maps.
Election Forecasts - FiveThirtyEight Blog - NYTimes.com (http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/)
Even this right leaning site is more accurate than Rasmussen.....
RealClearPolitics - 2012 Election Maps - Electoral Map (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/2012_elections_electoral_college_map.html)
Here's one more ...
2012 Presidential Election Interactive Map and History of the Electoral College (http://www.270towin.com/)
Ok, one more ....
ElectoralVote (http://www.electoral-vote.com/)
Ok, promise last one ..... here is the RASMUSSEN ELECTORAL MAP ....... from July 29, 2012. Wonder why the OP didn't post this.... ????
