I have belonged to a couple of country clubs over the years. Usually a bit stuffy and exclusionary and sometimes even downright snobish. Next time you go to Palmer or Glenview for lunch, Lopez or Havana for dinner, Hacienda for brunch, play golf at Mallory or Cane, or go to the Polo Grounds for a match - look around - though you can't tell the difference, and furthermore, don't care, there are Villagers there who live in Premier Homes worth $1 million plus, and others who live in manufactured homes worth less than $100K. There are retired doctors and physicists, and lawyers, and truckers, and nurses, and teachers, and construction workers, and bus drivers, and every other occupation you can imagine and they are all enjoying the same lifestyle. I just think about things like this when I read about people enjoying TV, and think wow, this is magical.

It's the main reason I chose TV to be my home! We all are afforded the same opportunities and are equal in stature. Kinda makes you smile, doesn't it?

Your post reminded me of a comedian I saw once. He talked about how he went to a Catholic school when he was young and the one thing he liked was the fact that everyone wore a uniform, therefore you couldn't tell the rich kids from the poor kids and that was the purpose. He said, however, that there was one difference.....the rich kids wore gold crosses...life size.

I lived in West Des Moines Iowa for a number of years and that's exactly how those folks responded to one another I was really taken with how down to earth they all were.

Very well said. It is the most friendliest hometown, will be the most healthiest town in the U.S. and also the most farest town also. Although I have not met those people from the millionaire homes, am glad they are paying the same amenity fees and enjoying the same activities as we. Hurray for TV!
