I am going to put it here and in political, so if you have a political take on it please go to the post on the poli board.

While I have concluded from what I have read over the years that global warming is occurring and is at least partially due to our pollution, I have always taken the position that whether or not I believed it is man made, that reducing carbon emission would ultimately be good for our nation and our world even if there is a cost involved in the short term.

It is sad when science gets mixed up with politics. It seems like a separate issue to me...but I guess with funding and federal projects that seem silly and that guy in England who lied, well now it's political.

I wasn't a greenie...and really don't think of myself as one, but even I am trying to do things to quit throwing gases into the air. It is scaring me.

I don't know why we have to buy everything on one side and nothing on the other in politics. I guess it boils down to that when we enter the booth we are alone, and I pray to keep an open mind and not be swayed by either side in the interest of common sense.

saving the rain forests that did so much to clean the air would have been a good thing to do, too!

Kind of hard to argue against the ideas that pollution is either creating global warming now; or is making a one hundred thousand year or more cycle of global warming/cooling approach faster.
