Does anyone know where the new hospital south of 466a is going to be built?
On Powell Road? 44A? Any ideas?

Last I heard there is not going to be a new hospital. They are supposed to expand the present hospital.

there is supposed to be a new hospital eventually, might be starting out as doctor offices, across from Brownwood, you can see all the excavation going on there. that would be Powell Rd and between 44 and 44A

My wife is a nurse at TV Hospital and she had heard that instead of building a new hospital south of 466A the current plans are to add two additional towers to the existing facility, increasing the total number of beds from 224 to approximately 500 beds. The talk around the hospital is that nothing has been set in stone and that any addition (either new OR expansion of existing facility) is at least 2 years down the road.

Could you be a little more specific as to what is "rumor?" Perhaps you didn't attend Morse's "State of the Villages" address or see it on channel 2? It was suggested that the NEW plan is to enlarge the current facility.
This is also what many of the nurses who actually work at TV's hospital (my wife is one of them) were told by their administrators.
Gracie reported corroborating evidence that she heard when she went to her VHA meeting. Gracie wrote,
"Last night at our Laurel Valley meeting our village VHA rep reported that there had been a change of plans about building another hospital at Brownwood and that "they" thought having a much bigger hospital might attract more good doctors so they were planning to enlarge the Sharon Morse hospital by adding another tower and making that hospital 500 beds. And also building a parking garage adjacent to it."
I don't doubt that there might be plans in Wildwood's city hall about hospital grading, but plans do change and in this case I would suggest that they probably did. Time will tell.

....I am a believer in the "gvsulakerfan".......
........MY sources say........
..............If the Grand Valley State University "Laker" fan says it is true..........
........................it is TRUE.....
......The NEW Hospital WILL be near Brownwood.
The site plans ARE available for pulic viewing @ Wildwood City Hall.
The possible other plans.... per "the rumor mill" ....most likely are safely kept in a mayonaise jar....ON Funk & Wagnells' porch....according to Johnny Carson..
