I recently read a post calling Michael Phelps a loser. His recent medal should prove this to be untrue. Congatulations, American Michael Phelps for winning the most medals ever in the history of the olympics.

Never a loser, just lost a round.

He deserves a ton of respect for the accomplishment.

:coolsmiley: Michael is a winner for sure! He did admit that he didn't train as hard for this olympics but that was his decision. :)

Totally agree with all the posters!! The earlier posts were very premature and uncalled for.

Michael Phelps broke a record that held for 40 years and there is still a couple of events to have the potential to increase the medal count!

Congrats to all the US olympians!!! I am glued to the TV watching!!!

Unless another swimmer like Phelps comes along, his record should stand for a very long time. Most of the other Olympic sports do not have as many opportunites for getting medals as the various swimmers.

The young Chinese woman Olympic swimmer with the huge feet and hands could win many medals if she is a she and has not done any doping.

A remarkable accompishment for Michael Phelps.

I wonder how much more he could have accomplished if he trained harder as this is his lasts olympics. Still the most medals than anyone.

We all should be proud of what he has accomplished. Go USA.

Michael Phelps is a young man that has brought pride to every American. I think the event he took second in, he had touched the wall first but without enough force to trigger the light. Im super proud of our Olympic teams, and I know everyone reading this is are too. Go America
