Went to karaoke @ Havana on Monday night. The host introduced a couple who will be entertaining on Fridays @ Havana. Group is called "Diamonds and Spurs." They are awesome! They sang "You don't bring me flowers anymore." They sounded really good together. Can't wait to hear them sing more. It's what we need here...new entertainment instead of the same old same old. He said that they are both Villagers.

Sorry for being a stick in the mud, but one of the reasons our golf group refrains from eating at Havana is the music. It's not the quality (although Monday karaoke can be pretty bad), but the volume. When we go out to eat, we want to socialize and not have to yell over the sound of singing.

Will Diamonds and Spurs be at Havana every Friday night or was this a one-time thing? I will be back in October, and I enjoy listening to vocalists.

Also -- Monday night karoke at Havana -- is this a year round thing? Another thing for me to keep in mind for my October visit.

Thanks in advance.

Schaumburger - Karaoke is every Monday night from 6-9. It's a lot of fun. Sure, some of the people aren't so great, but others are actually good, so we do have a good time! Diamonds and Spurs ad says that they are there for the month of August...don't know about past that. We went tonight and they are really quite good...sang a variety of music.
And, yes, it does get noisy at Havana if you sit in the bar. It's Friday after golf and the patrons do tend to be a little raucous. So, unless you can tolerate the talking, etc, I don't suggest eating in the bar. The music and talking is not so loud in the front of the restaurant, and you can always eat on the patio.
Hope to see you in October!
