Has anyone had keys to their new home mailed/overnighted to them after closing? We are just trying to figure out logistics?

We closed in June through the mail and came down a few days after closing because it fit our schedule. The closing office held everything until we arrived and we did a walk through with the builder the next day. Having the keys will not change a thing until you arrive. Relax and make a morning of it!

We bought pre-loved home and had a period of time before we moved in. We signed a form permitting our house-watcher to pick up our keys at the sales office. The first thing we did was ask this kind lady to get all the locks re-keyed. Turns our there were 8 keys outstanding and who knows how many more lurking our there somewhere. FYI, I had a new key made for myself with Mickey on it! Just a big wrinkly kid, I guess!

We arrived at 2:00am and picked up our keys and got an escort to our Villa. The sales office has people on call all night to provide their keys, etc to new arriving homeowners.

So did we! The red phone box on the parking lot side of the LSL sales office has a direct call to security. They will meet you there in a very few minutes and get your keys!

See? They think of everything and you don't need to have your house rekeyed if it is new.
