This is how things go and have been going in the real world without the ads, etc...

1. I am sure you all recall the IRS scam perpetuated by illegal immigrants on the child tax credit, where billions of dollars was scammed from our treasury by such illegal immigrants

2. In May of this year, the House passed a bill to attempt to stop this kind of thing.

House Passed Bill Seeks to End Illegal Immigrant Tax Loophole (http://www.christianpost.com/news/house-passed-bill-seeks-to-end-illegal-immigrant-tax-loophole-74920/)

3. Harry Reid would allow NO discussion of the House bill in the senate.

"Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) condemned the measure, saying that it unfairly targets the children of Latinos, who may be citizens of the United States even if their parents are not."

4. In todays news...

"Investigators “found an environment which discourages employees from detecting fraudulent applications,” said J. Russell George, the inspector general.

The IRS pays out $6.8 billion in refunds to taxpayers who file using Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITINs), who are generally immigrants, here both legally and illegally."

IRS supervisors ignored employees who tried to warn agency higher-ups of fraud in a program designed to collect taxes from immigrants, resulting in the agency paying out potentially bogus refunds.

IRS told employees to ignore potential fraud in program used by immigrants - Washington Times (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/aug/8/irs-paid-out-billions-bogus-refunds-under-program-/)

And the President and others are out there stumping, NOT TALKING ABOUT WHAT THEY HAVE DONE and instead attacking Romney and one of their little blurbs is about how the Republicans are holding them back.

Both parties are bad but the misrepresentation of this is appalling

Not exactly what was mentioned in the previous post but very similar.

I saw an article in the Daily Sun yesterday that stated over 700 IRS tax refunds went to a single address in Florida for a total of over $1 million dollars. Similar incidents have been happening for years and years.

Now, I do not know all about computers but certainly a program could be easily created to red-flag and stop for investigation tax refund high numbers of checks all going to the same address or bank account.

Yes, I would agree to fire the head of the IRS if no reasonable explanations to these charges could be made - and I do not see how they could be made.

And how about Harry Reid, a man who will NOT ALLOW DISCUSSION on a bill passed by the house that would go to solving a problem we all know about and is costing us billions....he gets a pass ?

Why did he do it...because it was a bill passed by the house !!

If the House passes a bill, the chances are that it will not get discussed or voted on by the Senate - and vice-versa.

Why did COMPROMISE become a dirty word in Washington?

I remember one poster on here that said the Tea Party has an objective of NON-COMPROMISE with the Democrats. That is just plain wrong.

Such behavior and decisions such as the OP described all point to two thing "payoffs" or i can't explain my actions to voters because.....". Whether Republican or Democrat our Congressional leaders payoffs are a way of life and so are restrictions placed on them by others. So in my mind when someone says those guys in Washington "just don't get it", yea they do its just in what form is it occuring.
