Moisture in the Dryer? help

Does anyone else have this issue...humidity/ moisture collecting in the dryer? We actually had mold form on the lint filter. Bleached that to get rid of it and leaving the filter out for now. We have an LG Front loader dryer. We have tried putting damprid container inside because the dryer can't be left open do to a light that doesnt shut off. We have this happen on and off. When there is a lot of moisture in the air and when there is not.

Just wondering if this is a common problem in florida or if we have a dryer vent issue.

Is your dryer in the garage? Could that uncontrolled heat/humidity contribute to the problem?

Have you had the vent cleaned out lately or ever? If not, you should. I had mine done this wk, (I never had it done,or even heard that it needs to done) Well, I was shocked at the amount of piles of clogged up lint that fell down from the top of the dryer vent, the vent from the dryer goes way up to the roof line!! I have a name of someone if you need it, he's excellent.

The washer/dryer are in the house where you come in through the garage. Only had the dryer hooked up for about 6 months and the vent was clear at that point. Not showing any indication of a problem unless its in the vent some where :( So I'm assuming from the posts this is not normal, will have to have it checked out now.

Check the vent on the top of the roof. It has a tendency to get clogged and if it does, the dryer won't ventillate properly. Also, you can unscrew that light bulb if you want to leave the door open a crack.
