On September 11 (with interviews before on ABC) Bob Woodward will be coming out with his new book "“The Price of Politics.” .

This book will give everyone a view of how dysfunctional our political system has become and the interviews and book will allow for all those who are so partisan on here, with a blind eye to issues, to have a cut and paste fiesta !

It covers the time when the WH and Boehner and congress were so close to a grand deal to try and solve the financial situation in this country and it does not make either party look good.

Fact is, here is link to an article in the NY Times from back in March of this year which captures a lot of the tension and politics from the meetings that Woodward will detail in his book.

This is not suggested because of Republican or Democrat issues.....the book, I am sure will derail both parties in some way. Most importantly to me it shows how these folks recognize what is happening in this country and how we need to address the medicaires, SS and such of the world even those who dont think

I have read a few article this time and how close we almost came to a deal......it showed me how political they are all....I was excited about Obama and disappointed with Obama....I was excited about Boehner and disappointed with Boehner. I was a bit more understanding of both sides and the political ideaology they must deal with and the guts it would have taken for either of them to have brought this to conclusion.

No matter who is elected in November, the most important thing to look for, in my opinion, is the immediate actions about our finances.

That's the spirit Bucco! You say Woodward's book will be interesting. That's pretty objective. But I expect others here to soon remind us that he's a commie, pinko, socialist, marxist. And maybe even the 'king' of lamestream media.

You folks do know that I linked a NY Times article to read in advance which I assume is sort of in the same vein.

Of course I know the bias of writers, but you either read it or just do not have an idea. I am a big boy; Unlike, it appears most on here, I actually read both sides of issues and make my OWN decision.

People on here, and this may sound judgemental but can only make my judgment based on what I read....if they are liberals, the go to nothing but liberal sites to cut and paste anything bad about a Republican. Same applies to all the tweets they get from sites like that...ever notice in some cases that the post is short and just about the size of a tweet ! Anyway, that to me besides being very shallow cannot be very stimulating nor can you learn anything at all. Now, that would bother me because I do not like people to tell me how to think and that is what they are doing. I also wonder how they feel when they vote and know deep down the know nothing except what one side told them ! I have no preconceived notions..whatever I say, it is because I have investigated it.

Am I right always...heck no..not even close but when confronted with a logical counter arguement (very few of them on this forum) I can say I was wrong. I have done that a few times on here.

I invite you to read the Times piece. Folks who know how I feel on some things probably think it is anti Obama...it is anything but. Of course I know that Woodward will err, if he errs on that side, but there are other sources to investigate before making any decisions.
