this may be the only oppty you have to see/hear paul ryan up-close and personal while not on the campaign trail before election day. but please do NOT start the video UNLESS you have the entire 20 mins to see it. to understand paul ryan, the candidate, you need to see this from start to finish in one sitting.
the link includes a good written summary of the attached 20 min video interview with bret hume, but it doesn't capture the man, himself.

ps - if anyone has a 20 min video of obama or biden tesponding to the same or similar interview qusetions, please post it or pm me with it.

Thanks for a great link.
I have been begging people to look at what this administration gave to the CBO that is supposed to pay for the new health care law, and everytime I have listed them, those that tell me how crazy I am NEVER RESPOND.
The payment for the Health care bill is nothing but maybes, could bes and one is the medicaire thing....they will save, according to them, about 700 to 800 million dollars with efficiency.....this is one of the items to pay for this HUGE bill ! No mention anywhere at any time how they intend to get this efficiency......except for a mention of LESS SERVICE, yet ....well, I do not even know what to say.....maybe if I have time tomorrow I will list the ways this WH says this will be paid for and beg somebody to show me how it can be done.
They even have robbed 800 million for an "experiment" that even the insiders were angry about....this is so the CUTS do not happen before the election......it is an amazing WH !!!

..... "well, I do not even know what to say"..........
For someone who doesn't know what to say, you sure do use up a lot of badwidth.

20 minutes is a long time to listen to guy whose only job in life has been driving a weinermobile.
Give us the short version.
Did he talk about Newt calling the Ryan plan "right wing social engineering"?

the short version is that this plan better than law the social reformer has put forward! hope that isn't too much bandwidth for you!

I would not want my computer soiled up by this Republican generated tripe.
You can waste your time watching or listening. I would much rather watch a rerun of "Route 66".

At least the posts of the leftists explains the ignorance, and at least that's something.
They think they're being funny, and I am in fact laughing.......but not for the reasons they think.
This is such a good demonstration on how cults work, and for that I thank them for the demonstration.

“You paid in to Medicare for years … now when you need it, Obama has cut $716 billion from Medicare. Why? To pay for ObamaCare.”

Keep in mind that Romney/Ryan is not running on the Ryan budget, or the Ryan Plan, but on the Romney Plan. Yesterday in an interview with Britt Hume, Ryan struggled mightily to explain the Romney economic plan, and went to great lengths to emphasize he is running on the Romney ticket, and the Romney plan. He had better do a better job in the near future of articulating the details of the Romney/Ryan plan, and how it will benefit the country. He seemed a little flustered in trying to recall his talking points on such short notice.

He looked awful and uninformed. His new master has him handcuffed.

WASHINGTON - The Romney campaign is willing to discuss its proposals on taxes "in the light of day," vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan said Tuesday evening -- just not until after the election.

The problem is Mitt Romney doesn't want anyone, including Paul Ryan, to know what his economic plan is. Romney is always going to announce it in a day or two, but that day or two never comes.
Romney's plan, as far as I know it, is to cut taxes and close loopholes. Unfortunately, he won't tell us what those loopholes are until after he takes office. Also, Romney won't announce what departments he plans on closing.

I believe, but not sure that this is almost exactly what Obama promised on health care in 2008, and he did give specifics. Unfortunetly, the specifics never happened and it was NOT done in the light of day !

here is the fact that some are ignoring. The Ryan plan cuts the same $700 billion from medicare. I repeat the same amount is cut from the Ryan plan. The difference is where the cuts are made. The Obama plan will not cut directly into coverage and care, the Ryan plan does.

I am not exactly sure what you read or where you read, but here are a few hints for you to read.....guess this never got to you, and by the way as added incentive to get you to read, it is not all complimentary to Romney. I read both sides but it appears that someone, somewhere has dug up what you feel is a deep deep secret...
Mitt Romney's 5-point plan for the economy
Mitt Romney's 5-point plan for the economy - The Term Sheet: Fortune's deals blog Term Sheet (http://finance.fortune.cnn.com/2012/08/15/romney-economy-plan/)

Then of course this is a book on it...
Believe in America: Mitt Romney's Plan for Jobs and Economic Growth [Kindle Edition]
Believe in America: Mitt Romney's Plan for Jobs and Economic Growth: Romney for President: Amazon.com: Kindle Store
And this is what is amazing...there are so many folks out there making fun of his economic plan that you cant find.
On taxes, there are even more articles taking him to task....
Nine takeaways on Romney’s tax plan
Nine takeaways on Romney’s tax plan (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/ezra-klein/wp/2012/08/02/nine-takeaways-on-romneys-tax-plan/)
Now as far as I know and I will not make the same statement as you did that he wont tell us his plans, but as far as I know...Obama's plan is to tax the rich, specifically using the Bush tax cuts and using 250,000 as a guidepost for NOT redoing those cuts. If more, you let me know.
It is amazing in this communication age that you dont have any of this. I would complain to whomever you rely on for information that this is not gettng to you
What I would welcome because I have problems with some of the Romney plans also is a discussion after you read this....NO LINKS...JUST DISCUSSION on what is in those plans to determine what is best for our country.
And in preparing for that discussion, please share somewhere I can find Obama's plans for cutting loopholes.
There are a number of places to check...like NPR..
"President BARACK OBAMA: The tax cuts I'm proposing we get rid of are tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires, tax breaks for oil companies and hedge fund managers and corporate jet owners."
What Tax 'Loopholes' Does Obama Want to Close? : NPR (http://www.npr.org/2011/06/30/137533702/what-tax-loopholes-does-obama-want-to-close)
If I were you and you are not being afforded all this information, I would surely complain because it seems to be readily available for me to read and digest.
When you are done reading this NEW news, let me know and we can have a discussion, WITH NO LINKS on just exactly what they mean and where thye may take the country !

excuse me, waynet...but, huh? what i read and hear indicates that both plans slow the growth of medicare but do not cut it - where did you get your numbers? i really would like to follow up on your post since it is the polar opposite of your info...thanx

Well, now that is not exactly true......
as part of the submission to CBO and as one method of paying for the new law the Obama admin says they will cut 700 billion making Medicare payments more efficient by linking them to the quality of health care delivered rather than the sheer number of procedures performed. In addition it tightens data collection and lowers payments for hospitals that readmit too many patients, among other measures.
now this is from their submission to the CBO and includes the infamous 15-member Independent Payment Advisory board
So in fact it does do the EXACT same thing as the Ryan plan over the same amount of time. The gamble is on insuring that these "efficiencies" actually take place and amount to the correct amount of time.
BOTH PLANS have the same target...EXACTLY the same... restricting the program's growth rate to 0.5 percent of annual GDP. The difference is how they get there.
Please....they both want to AND HAVE to get to the same place. Question is only which will actually get us there !
