oh, I laughed so hard I thik i may have wet myself! that and the severed humqan limbs along the ontario river.....
Anyone that legally carries a concealed weapon owes it to themselves and those around them to do so in a safe manner. That starts by securing the firearm in a proper holster. In this case a pocket holster.
Furthermore, most modern firearms are designed to withstand a three foot drop without discharging and one can consult California’s on-line certified list for those that have passed their rigorous testing before selecting a carry weapon.
Fortunately in this case, the careless idiot and his hapless victim were one and the same.

This story reminds me of Plaxico Burgess discharging his weapon when he had in his pocket. He was afraid someone would rob the $150,000 worth of jewels he was wearing that night and he brought his gun over state lines. Cost him several years in prison and millions of dollars.
