We have just bought a Lilac home. We are thinking about building a desk/computer nook in the laundry room, under the window wall. Would like a recommedation on who is competant & charges a fair price. Any pictures would be appreciated. Also considering having something built in second front bedroom as den/office agrangement. Thanks in advance.

We just went on the design schedule for a Zinnia and would like to do the same thing. I think the Lilac and Zinna laundry may be the same size. We were thinking of an L configuration on one wall and under the window, but don't know if there's enough room for that. If anyone has the dimensions of the 3 useable walls in the Zinnia laundry I'd appreciate hearing from you.

I have an Iris which is virtually the same as the Lilac, I believe. I recently had Brian Freitag of B & J Builders add cabinets and countertops in my laundry room. All that wasted space is now utilized and I love it! If you would like to see it, please PM me and you can stop over later this week and see Brian's work.

Here is a copy of an earlier post about the work Brian did on my house:

I had Brian Frietag of B & J Builders enclose my lanai. He did a fantastic job and I couldn't be happier with his work. He did more than I asked for and he is very proud of his work.....rightfully so. The quality of his work and the products he uses are A+. Almost everyone who saw the completed project was in awe of my new Florida Room. And because of the Home Warranty work being done, I had plenty of contractors in my house who thought his work was excellent.

I was able to sit in my former lanai every morning, noon and night. Not only was it very comfortable temp wise because of the HVAC, but it was so nice to have virtually the same beautiful water view. In the morning and evening, I opened up the windows and enjoyed the sounds of the birds in the water...& cows mooing, donkeys hee-hawing and roosters cookadoo-ado-ing! It was so nice to leave my house during the afternoon and easily close the windows....only to have terrible t-storms come through. I would return home to a clean lanai...whoops, Florida Room....with no grit and grime on my furniture. And now I don't have to worry about returning to Swimdawg South and spending the next day cleaning, cleaning, cleaning.....all that dirt, grit and grime. Life is good!

Brian also did a great job installing counter tops and cabinets in my laundry room. He matched cabinets and hardware to all cabinets in my house.

Bottom line: I would HIGHLY recommend Brian Freitag of B & J Builders. He is trustworthy, a good family man and does wonderful quality work. He formerly worked for TV and I did call TV and they gave him an excellent recommendation. His phone number is: 352-516-0668

Custom Home Closets on Hwy 301 designed and installed a desk unit in the master bedroom of our Austin. Very happy with their work. Photo of completed unit is attached.

This is super!!! I have something similar which was done by Bailey Industries. It used to be located in Spanish Plaines but they've recently moved to Leesburg near the Walmart at the far NORTH end of Leesburg. I'd HIGHLY recommend Liz Taylor as the consultant to work with. BTW ... Bailey Industries has done a TON of work for The Villages. They completely redid my kitchen (even tore out half a wall to open it up). I live in a designer home built in 1992 and it was time for an update. I absolutely LOVE what they did in the kitchen and they also handled putting up crown molding as well as supplying and installing plantation blinds. Also, they found new appliances in a hard to find bisque color which was what I wanted. The workmanship was first rate and I am extremely pleased with all they did. Call Liz!

The laundry room in this space seems perfect for equipment like routers, printers, etc.
