Just finished up with a wonderful design rep by the name of Pam Sherwood. She was patient, very wise, professionally astute and most helpful! What a joy after worrying about all the decisions to be made! I was able to stretch, add, change layout, increase space and get what I wanted, all within budget. So now all I have to do is wait for closing. But officially, I feel like a real Villager now! For those who are wondering and have not had your meeting yet, do not fret! It was a wonderful experience!!! :BigApplause:

Rusty has been coaching Hotrodgirl so she probably bumped, stretched, and added every square inch she could.

Yikes! In the midst of all this I flew home to Chicago! So, to elaborate:
I am building a Lantana. I was able to stretch 6 feet to the front to allow for a 3rd bath for the front bedroom. That being said, we reconfigured the closet in that room and I was able to add a 2nd closet to the 3rd bedroom. Also stretched the garage 2 feet forward, the kitchen side 2 feet and the back of the house 2 feet. As well, I added 2 feet to the lanai. Because of the bump, I was able to add cabinet space to the kitchen and laundry area. also added a wine fridge cabinet to the kitchen and a space for a trash compactor or waste receptacle pull-out. Put a block window in the new bathroom, put in a wing wall and extra outlets and hose bibs outside.

Wow, that is no longer a Lantana, it's a Super Lantana
Sounds like a ton of planning went into your changes, enjoy the build.

hotrodgirl,
Coming down with our dog on the 21st for 10 days, rented a PV, with a golf cart.
I want to double check the lots solar orientation first, then be sure we both like the lot and immediate area for sure, but don't expect any issues (just haven't seen it in person) but it's one of a very few with no rear neighbor.
Made an appoint with our rep for Monday afternoon to review the models in detail and spend sometime in each to feel the layout.
I already had great input here from folks, and our rep gave us much input on extras and their costs etc.
Should pick a date in Jan for our design.

Could you provide a ballpark for how much that added to the price of the house? That sounds almost like the size of a premier.

It was a whirlwind of activity but I am quite satisfied with my decisions and second guessing only one! And that only due to the fact I strayed a bit from my comfort zone!! All is well and we need to work on Crispers North now!
