Has anyone used PTL SERVICES? Are they dependable to do what they charge you for? Being an absentee owner , i want to ensure the place is taken care of. Anyone, input good or bad i would appreciate. Thanks

We hired them about 15 months ago to do our lawn, pest control, and weeding. I learned here on TOTV, that since we are also absentee homeowners, it would be smart to have one comapny do all the services since they then will be the sole party responsible should anything problems occur.
We have been very satisfied with their work.
I did recommend them to a friend who bought a new home earlier in the year, and after not being happy with them, switched to another company.
Good luck.

We too are absentee owners and have been using PTL for close to two years. I am happy with certain areas and not too happy with others. Will probably have a talk when we return. Good luck

I have PTL do everthing but mowing. I use to have them do the mowing but they leave ruts with their rider mowers so I changed to someone who uses a push mower for the front of the house. PTlL does a good job with insect control and Fertilizing and weeding.

PTL is great! We have had them for about 3 years. They charge us $45 every other month and just spray the outside.

made the mistake of signing a one year contract with PTL then needed to change company because they were not liscensed to use the chemical required to control the bermuda grass invading my lawn. They would not let me go and threatened a lien on my house unless I paid them a few hundred $$ extra. AVOID CONTRACTS!

We recently switched from PTL to Stellar.

May I ask why you switched from PTL to Stellar?

We are using PTL for one stop handling. We added termite inspection to their activities. We also asked them to trim the bushes. With all the requests, total every month is getting higher so probably need to negotiate before we leave TV. I prefer hand lawn mower so that is something I may have to change.

We have used PTL for 4 years. They are dependable and have been responsive to problems that need addressing. They used to use riding mowers on our grass but after complaints about ruts created have switched to large, walk-behind mowers. While this has helped alleviate the ruts, a problem still exists in that the mowers discharge from the side and during the mild months when our windows are open, we find residue in the house. When we hear them coming, we have to go around the house and close the windows. I imagine that this problem exists for most lawn care companies, however.

We are considering both PTL and Stellar at this time, so your input was very much appreciated!
