You can try using one of the translation site. Here's a link for one. You just type in the box and it will translate it for you.
Google Translate (http://translate.google.com/m/translate)
I don't think these sites are 100% accurate, but you will be able to get a good idea of what the letter says. Obviously, if someone who speaks German translates it for you, it will be more accurate.
Good Luck.

German Translation (http://www.translation-services-usa.com/german.php)
A German woman used to come to Doggie Doo Run Run. She had married a US serviceman and they had retired and then moved around landing in the Villages for a while. They moved to be closer to grandkids.
I will bet there are other fluent German speakers in the Villages. I took German for 2 years but that was in 1976 through 1978 and then again in 1989. You lose it if you do not use it.

If you download this site, they will translate many languages, including German for you........I used it ten years ago beginning my Italian genealogy, in order to communicate with cousins in Naples. He was a doctor and his son was a lawyer and they "got it" but said it sounded funny.....but they knew what I was trying to say....and vice versa when they responded to me.
