Hi-
I am moving out of The Villages in mid-October--and need someone to do packing for me. I am disabled---so, it would be hard on me to do it all myself. Does anyone know anyone who does a good job--but, who charges much less than The Village Movers? (120/hr)....:MOJE_whot:

Lynn FitzgeraldLynn, try calling Settle In Style (http://www.settleinstyle.com/Pages/default.aspx) and see what they tell you. You'll find their phone no. on their web site. (Click link in first sentence) They've been around for some time and I have used them a number of times for restaurant deliveries. I know they do help with unpacking, but the site doesn't mention packing. It's worth a call though to find out if they will and how much!

Contact our sales rep thru the Villages Sales Office - Laurie Briggs. We sold our house and had a closing 3 weeks after we put it on the market and couldn't get down to pack everything. She had some folks come in and pack up everything for us and a moving service put everything in storage until our new house is built. It was $25/hr for the packing.

Thanks. I already asked them...Settle In Style doesn't do packing--just unpacking!

If you didn't check, you may want to ask how many people they are sending for $120/hr. When we had a truck unloaded, they sent 3, and they really hustled. It was less than 2 hrs for a 26 foot truck. I'm sure the packing will be slower, but they didn't dilly-dally like I've had one mover do.
