This is an update to the 'Verizon Wireless, What a farce' thread a week ago. I placed it here because I wanted to thank all the TOTV people for all the support and ideas. Most of you were Villagers. One Villager sent me the name and address of the CEO of Verizon and now the whole issue is over. I wrote a letter to the CEO and the response was swift and decisive. Verizon will honor the upgrade offer even though it is early. They reviewed the recordings and honored what was offered. My thanks to all of you for the support and to Verizon for making customer loyalty and satisfaction a priority. Kudos to Verizon.::a040:

Good for you. The CEO probably senses that you will end up being a long term customer. You have to get to someone with business sense, not just a salesperson.

That's great!! It is too bad though that you had to take it all the way to the CEO's office to get action.

Maybe the CEO of Verizon needs to go on Undercover Boss.

I think that's such a great show.

My Verizon story:

I am on our son's plan. I just want a flip phone. I was due an upgrade, and went to a Verizon owned store. I was supposed to get a free up grade, they wanted $132.00 with a possible rebate of $50.00. My son told the sales person in no uncertain terms he was wrong and told the manager he would not return to their store again. ( he and family have all the bells and whistle from Verison) We went to a local Verizon store. Received the same phone free. It's who you speak to !!!!
