Has anyone besides myself experienced problems with the Publix Pharmacy on Bella Cruz.. Out of the last SEVEN prescriptions we have had serious problems no less than FIVE times with this pharmacy. Just today, I went to this Publix Pharmacy to pick up a prescription that was called in this past Wednesday. The Pharmast on duty said that yes they had received the prescription but somehow it had been cancelled. Cancelled by whom or what I asked, the reply " I don't know why it was cancelled". The crazy part is this prescription was for diabetic lancets (the little needles to get a blood sample) and can be purchased over the counter for additional money. A previous prescription problem was for a 90 day drug supply with three 90 day refills. Someone at this same publix pharmacy without authorization, changed the prescription to read; a 30 day supply with 11 refills. With my insurance company this changed prescription would have resulted in me having an additional $600 in out of pocket expense. It find that one of the most used comments these Publix Pharmacy folk use is "I don't know"...... I plan to find a new pharmacy and suggest you consider my comments before using the Bella Cruz Publix Pharmacy.

Sometimes these little irritants are a precursor to having a "bad egg in the hen house". It is possible someone is testing the system as a prelude to moving on to bigger (and better) recreational pharmaceutical theft. You can complain online concerning prescription tampering to the Florida Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance. You can get online complaint forms at: Enforcing Health Care Standards - Client Services Unit - Medical Quality Assurance - Enforcing Health Care Standards - Client Services Unit (http://www.doh.state.fl.us/mqa/enforcement/enforce_csu.html). You can also complaint about the level of service to the Consumer Services Division of the Florida Department of Agriculture. You can get online complaint forms for that at: File a Complaint - Division of Consumer Services, DOACS (http://www.800helpfla.com/complnt.html).

I took your suggestion and filed a complaint with DOA. Thanks.

I have had the same problem. However I found a new pharmacy, Oxford Pharmacy, it is an independent pharmacy located in the Bonefish Plaza on 466. The pharmacist is very nice and helpful. No long waits either. I went there and had my prescription in 10 minutes. They take all medicare plans and were even less expensive on some drugs that were not covered by my insurance. I highly recommend them. I'm tired of these big chain pharmacies that treat me like I'm doing them a favor by shopping there.
