We get then daily in our local supermarket. BUT, a 12 pack costs £11.00 which ias about $17.85. so as you can imagine, we do not buy them very often!!

publix sells them. i do not get the allure of these donuts. about 8-9 years ago krispy kreme came to the philadephia area. big hoopla, big promotions, about 15 or so brand new locations. the lines were long, everyone oohed and aahed, for awhile. within 2 years most of the locations closed. why? the donuts are just not so good, and the coffee was lousy. most were reopened as dunkin donuts.

I miss them here in Philly. In my opinion, they were very tasty when hot off the line.

You bet! When they're hot they're hot and when they're not they're not!
No comparison.

They still go down like silk if you microwave them ( on a coffee filter) for about 5 seconds.

KK didn't make it in Houston either. Well - at least the one that was close to our house. Shipley Donuts seem to be the donut of choice in our area. I always looked forward to Hot KK's when we would vacation in Myrtle Beach. Most likely a contributing factor for many clogged arteries.

I'm happy to say that we found a "hot" sign near my nephew's in SC, on our way down to TV, so I was able to get my fix. I absolutely LOVE their melt-in-your-mouthedness. Is that a word?? In any event, I am very glad that there are no "hot" signs in TV because it saves me an incredible number of calories!!

I am NOT a doughnut fan. Not at all. I went into a KK, when the sign was on, with my wife and brother and the counter lady asked if I'd like to try a taste. Said no, don't like doughnuts. She handed me a fresh one, right off of the belt thing .......... OMGoodness! Darned if I wasn't just about 100% hooked.
