Most weed whackers like under $110 are usually not worth fixing. My son, who is a factory rep for Dolmar, says most of the problems are caused by the ethanol used in the gasoline. He recommended I use Sta-Bill in the gasoline. I dump out the gasoline, start it, and run it dry. I only buy gasoline a gallon at a time. Any gasoline left, in the fall, I put in the car. The problem is the seals. The EPA gasoline destroys them. In some areas of upstate NY, ethanol-free gasoline is available around $5.00/gallon.
I forgot, in Florida, we use them year round.

We also took our to Wildwood Mower. Purchased less than a year ago and when we called the manufacturer, we were told it was under warranty and to go there. What a nice surprise! They did a good job. Wildwood Mower is right next to the AutoZone on the corner of 301 and 44.
