DVD/YouTube help

I have a DVD recording of our church service (not protected) and I need to isolate 4 minutes of it to post to YouTube. I have no idea where to start - I am unable to even copy it to my hard drive as it copies the audio and video separately. Are there any techies out there with advice?

You will need to use a video editing software package. I used Videopad a while ago (Video Editing Software. Download Free Video Movie Editor (http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/index.html)) but there are many available.
